Sans Bar STL hosts events that are full of good vibes where alcohol happens to be off the menu.
We are inclusive - welcoming all, regardless of their relationship with alcohol.
Our goal is to create a world where no one has to feel out of place if they’re not drinking.

After living in New York City for close to ten years, Annie returned home to St. Louis, where she was born and raised. She was still working for BIGVISION in New York City as their Outreach Coordinator and Social Media Strategist, when she sent Sans Bar a message on Instagram saying, "When are you coming to NYC?!" Well, that message turned into a phone call and the rest is history.

Meanwhile, in St. Louis, Annie met Nichole Dawsey, Executive Director of PreventEd, where she mentioned Chris & Sans Bar. She introduced them and he decided to embark on a national tour and make St. Louis one of his stops.

St. Louis hosted the largest Sans Bar pop-up to date, with over 300 people in attendance. Six weeks later, Annie & BIGVISION hosted the New York City pop-up stop on the tour. It hosted a sold-out crowd and is the second-largest to date.

People don’t go to bars just to drink alcohol, and what people are actually paying for won’t ever show up on the tab at the end of the night. The product bars sell to the customer is the atmosphere - the energy, the music, the opportunity for connection. We believe that Sans Bar can provide the bar experience without the booze.

Sans Bar was founded in Austin, TX by Chris Marshall. The inspiration for Sans Bar came from his work as a counselor. Time and time again, clients shared the struggle of finding a place to go that is fun, and energetic but safe for those who want to have a great night without alcohol.
